An ant, a mushroom, and a physicist walk into a room...
Good morning, pioneers!
Sorry I’ve been out of contact for the past few months - I spent some much needed holidays with my family traveling through Europe.
But I’m back - queue: Arnold Schwarzenegger jokes.
Here’s what I’ve got for you this month:

Let’s get into it 🌳!
AI
Building an A(I)-Team to Save the Planet
The key to saving the planet isn’t just about human innovation.
The solution is collaboration—not just between people, but between every species on Earth.
And it’s possible TODAY, thanks to AI.
We now have the ability to give a voice to:
Plants
Animals
Insects
Fungi
Imagine sitting at a table with these species and asking them how we can work together to solve the climate crisis…
Imagine how much deeper we would understand the world’s ecosystems and what they need to thrive.
The Power of AI: Giving Nature a Voice
AI can do more than improve human lives—it can help us understand nature better.
By creating AI agents that represent each species, we can:
Simulate how plants, insects, and animals interact with the world
Learn what these species need to thrive
Find out what they can offer to help tackle climate change
For example, imagine an AI agent for ants. Ants play a big role in our ecosystems—like aerating soil and helping plants grow.
AI could model what they need from their environment and how they could help restore it.
Or take fungi—organisms that break down organic material and store carbon in the soil.
AI could "speak" for fungi, showing us exactly how they can contribute to fighting climate change.
A Conversation Between Species
Let’s take this a step further.
What if we could bring all these AI agents—representing different species—together?
Picture a virtual roundtable discussion with AI agents for:
Ants
Trees
Fish
Fungi
Humans
Each one shares what they need from the planet—and how they could help solve problems like deforestation, carbon emissions, or biodiversity loss.
It’s about collaboration. Every species brings something valuable to the table.
The Role of Humans: Partners, Not Rulers
For centuries, humans have acted like managers of the planet. But the truth is—we’re just one species among millions.
By using AI, we can become partners with nature.
Instead of trying to control everything, we can work with the Earth’s natural systems to find solutions.
Humans can bring creativity, technology, and innovation.
Nature brings resilience, balance, and efficiency.
Together, we could solve the climate crisis faster—and more effectively—than if we try to go it alone.
With AI, we can bring every species to the table and start finding real answers.
The question is: are we ready to listen?
3 things that I loved this month:
Speaking of working with mushrooms - This biohybrid robot controlled by a living king oyster mushroom
Mo Gawdat’s presentation on the future of AI at the TCC Loyalty Forum
This episode of New York Times best-selling author and scientist Gregg Braden taking about the rise of transhumanism
That’s it for today’s edition!
Cheers from Austria!
